Torrence Boone is a forward-thinking leader in marketing and advertising. He is the Vice President of Global Agency Sales and Brand Services at Google.

As the lead of Google’s global agency business, Boone drives the company’s relationships with marketing and advertising agencies worldwide. He is responsible for envisioning and communicating the possibilities of Google’s product portfolio within various brand campaigns.

Background and Perspective

Prior to joining Google, Torrence Boone was the global CEO of a full-service, integrated agency startup built by WPP. From 2001-2008 he worked at Digitas Boston, starting off as a Group Director of Marketing/Global Practice Lead and ultimately becoming President of the agency’s flagship region. Prior to this, he was Vice President/General Manager of Avenue A (now Razorfish). He began his career at Bain and Company.


An industry leader with 20+ years of experience, Torrence Boone has shared lessons in leadership, advertising, consumer insights and more through outlets including (but not limited to) Think With Google, TechCrunch, NBC News, BBC News, and Campaign. He is driven by the ever-changing face of advertising, particularly in the wake of technological advancements that have enabled massive data collection and analysis — not to mention a slew of new ad formats and media channels that are at once fragmented and near-ubiquitous in consumers’ daily lives.

Board Involvement and Hobbies

Torrence Boone is on the board of The Finish Line and Effie Worldwide. He is also President of the Board at Citizen Schools New York, a national educational reform organization. He is especially passionate about improving diversity and inclusion in professional and academic communities across the country. He is a distinguished alumnus of A Better Chance and he supports academic enrichment programs within traditionally underserved communities.

In his free time Boone enjoys kickboxing, snowboarding, rock climbing, yoga, fiction writing/literature, and the performing arts.
