Set in the artist colony of Provincetown, MA, The Bait Shack is the story of Nora Landry, an emerging artist at a major inflection point in her career. Having won a coveted commission from the prestigious Marble Foundation, she has struggled to complete it due to crippling anxiety and financial duress. Nora flees Manhattan in search of inspiration.
Her estranged boyfriend and former art professor orchestrates a temporary lifeline, a fellowship at the renowned Fine Arts Work Center. But an unanticipated romance and cast of town characters, including a meddling neighbor and larger-than-life hostess at her waitressing gig, further complicate her ambitions. Ultimately, she is forced to reckon with her disavowed past, while driving an unexpected personal transformation.
